Sh Rashid challenges decision of rejection of his acquittal plea in LHC Rwp bench in GHQ attack case

Lahore: Former federal minister Sheikh Rashid has challenged the decision regarding rejection of his acquittal plea in Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench in GHQ attack case.Sheikh Rashid has filed petition in LHC Rawalpindi bench in this regard against rejection of his acquittal plea in GHQ attack case.Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) had dismissed acquittal plea of Sheikh Rashid Ahmad in GHQ attack case.LHC Rawalpindi bench removed objections on Sheikh Rashid appeal plea and allowed to file it again.Counsel for Sheikh Rashid said new amended petition would be filed today. Indictment cannot be framed in GHQ attack case.The preliminary hearing was conducted by a division bench comprising Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan and Justice Sarfraz Dogar.Sheikh Rashid appeared in the court along with his counsel Sardar Abdul Razzaq Khan advocate.It is pertinent to mention here ATC had decided to indict him after dismissing his acquittal plea.
