Karachi: Sindh High Court (SHC) has reserved judgment on the petition from former president Arif Alvi against sealing his clinic following the completion of the arguments by the lawyers.The petition filed by former president Arif Alvi against sealing of his clinic came up for hearing in SHC Monday.The court inquired from SBCA counsel let the court come to understand what encroachments have been constructed thereon.SBCA counsel took the plea commercial activities were continuing at that place due to which we had to take action. Several changes were made by Dr Arif Alvi with reference to construction of building.The court remarked under what law action is taken on such type of constructions.The counsel for SCBA took the plea this building was constructed in 1991. Change was made in the building in 2002. No mention has been made in approval plan of this plot that clinic is being constructed at this place. Plan approval for residential building was got here and constructions have been made. Wh en complaints were received by us about this building then notice was issued and law was implemented.Anwar Mansoor Khan counsel for Arif Alvi said no notice was given to us in this regard. What has been sealed it has been sealed on encroachments. Notice has been issued on misuse of property. Our clinic has been sealed illegally. This clinic is operating at this place since long. This building was being used for social welfare work since last several years. This building is not being used for any hotel or restaurant.The court remarked the citizen who has lodged complaint he is living on Khalid Bin Walid road. It seems the way attempt is being made to control all things, such is happening here too.The court reserved judgment on the petition against sealing former president Arif Alvi clinic after hearing the arguments.
