London: Senior leader PPP and member of Pakistan's parliamentary delegation visiting United Kingdom, Senator Sherry Rehman, has said Pakistan is actively working to promote peace and reduce tensions in the region. She reiterated Pakistan's commitment to pursuing peace sincerely.

In an interview with Sky News, she emphasized that Pakistan does not want regional conflicts to escalate into crisis, but its desire for peace should not be mistaken as its weakness.

Sherry Rehman said the purpose of the diplomatic visits to the US and UK to is to ensure that facts remain intact and the international community receives an accurate account of the situation. She reiterated Pakistan's commitment to pursuing peace sincerely.

Sherry Rehman described recent tensions with India as an unnecessary and unprovoked conflict instigated by India.

She also criticized certain Indian media outlets for fueling misinformation and stoking war aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's nationalist agenda and propagated false reports.

She affirmed that Pakistan is actively engaged in counter-terrorism efforts, noting that the country currently faces one of the highest numbers of terrorist attacks worldwide.
