Shifting PTI founder to hospital: chamber appeal filed in SC against registrar office objections

Islamabad: The legal team has filed chamber appeal in Supreme Court (SC) against registrar office objections on the matter of shifting PTI founder to hospital.

Chamber appeal said registrar office transgressed its powers and ignored the available record.

It was said in the petition the decision on maintainability of the petition should be made on judicial forum and it should not be administrative .

It was further said in the appeal plea PTI founder is imprisoned in Adiala jail and permission was not given to get sign the power of attorney. The lawyers tried several time to obtain signature in Adiala jail but access was not given.

It was further said in the petition power of attorney was sent through courier but the authorities did not cooperate. A separate petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court on this matter.

Stance has been taken in chamber appeal that petition was filed through attorney under compulsion.

It was requested that May 18, 2026 objection order of registrar office be declared null and void. The petition be fixed for hearing after marking number on it. The case be fixed for hearing immediately .
