Lahore: Lahore Police have suspended a Station House Officer (SHO) along with ten other police officials after they allegedly conducted a wrongful raid at the residence of relatives of a high-profile personality, police sources said on Tuesday.
According to police, a case has been registered against the SHO and the other officials at Sarwar Road Police Station on the complaint of the police under provisions relating to abuse of authority and exceeding official powers. Police sources said the action was taken after it emerged that the police team had mistakenly raided the residence of relatives of an important personality.
Following the incident, the SHO and the entire police team involved in the operation were suspended.
Police said an inquiry into the matter is underway and further action will be taken in light of the findings of the investigation.
