Karachi: Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar has taken serious notice of an incident of violence and clashes between student groups at Karachi University and has sought an immediate report from the SSP East.The home minister directed the authorities to ensure law and order on the university campus and ordered the immediate arrest of all individuals involved in the incident, regardless of their political or organizational affiliation.He said violence, intimidation and lawlessness in educational institutions would not be tolerated under any circumstances, adding that the protection of students' lives and property remained a top priority of the Sindh government.Lanjar also instructed the relevant authorities to ensure that students injured during the clash receive immediate and the best possible medical treatment.He further directed that a transparent, impartial and merit-based investigation be conducted into the incident and that strict legal action be taken against those found responsible.The mi nister emphasized that educational institutions must remain peaceful, safe and conducive to learning, and said all necessary measures would be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
