Lahore: Advocate General (AG) Punjab has said smoke emitting vehicles will not come on roads now.The petition seeking court's orders for eradication of smog came up for hearing before Justice Shahid Karim of LHC Tuesday.Justice Shahid Karim remarked this was a big case. Government should have been here. Government has done nothing so far and I am identifying it daily. Government will have to move ahead from mere policy papers.Justice Shahid Karim remarked there is need to form long term policies. This way things will not work. If this time smog has come to us in September then it will come in August next time.He remarked transport sector is 70 to 80 percent cause for environmental pollution. Smuggled fuel is used in transport sector which is very low grade fuel.Justice Shahid Karim remarked Beijing shifted its entire industry to other locality. It was said in the previous year order no construction projects will be started. DG environment is working well.
