Islamabad: Barrister Suleman Safdar counsel for Imran Khan has filed written arguments in Islamabad High Court (IHC) in PTI founder and Bushra Bibi solitary confinement case.
Barrister Suleman Safdar declared the report of superintendent jail misleading and against the facts.
Requesting the court for appointing amicus curiae , local commission or friend of the court to review the facts, Barrister Suleman Safdar said commission should meet PTI founder and Bushra Bibi. Court should seek review report from commission . Court should order to summon PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in court. The statements of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi regarding solitary confinement be recorded.
Barrister Suleman Safdar said in written arguments court can record statement through video link. Such a board be constituted which includes expert and representative of state and petitioners.
Board should visit central jail Adiala.
Board should inspect the respective facilities and record and present independent report in court on the matter of keeping the prisoners in solitary confinement.
Barrister Suleman Safdar requested that facility provided to prisoners in connection with talks through video link be also provided to PTI founder. Books and TV be provided to PTI founder and Bushra Bibi.
It has been said in written arguments counsels of PTI founder are representing him in more than 300 cases. As per jail rules the legal team be allowed for uninterrupted meeting.
As per jail rules weekly regular meetings of prisoners with their family members and friends be ensured.
It was further requested superintendent central jail Adiala be given clear direction to ensure such meetings without any unnecessary hindrance. Medical reports of PTI founder and complete record be provided. The medical record be provided to court as well.

It was told in written arguments that superintendent Adiala jail while ignoring the court's orders gave incomplete report. All the grave apprehensions and problems have not been encompassed in this report. Both PTI founder and Bushra Bibi are not allowed to go outside their specific premises.
The written arguments of barrister Suleman contain 19 pages. Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro had summoned written arguments.
