Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has extended heartfelt felicitations to the Sikh community in Pakistan and across the world on the auspicious occasion of the 556th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

In his message, the Speaker said that the teachings of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji embody the universal message of peace, tolerance, love, and service to humanity, serving as a guiding light for promoting mutual respect and harmony among all religions and societies.

He stated that it is a matter of great pride for Pakistan to be the birthplace of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji-Nankana Sahib, and emphasized that the protection and upkeep of all sacred Gurdwaras associated with him are considered a national and spiritual responsibility.

Speaker Sadiq reaffirmed that the Parliament of Pakistan remains fully committed to safeguarding the religious, social, and constitutional rights of all minorities, while upholding interfaith harmony and tolerance as key pillars of democratic values.

He added that on this blessed occasion, 'we must draw inspiration from Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji's message of humanity, patience, and justice, and renew our collective resolve to build a world rooted in peace, respect, and mutual love.'
