Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq has extended formal invitation to the opposition members for talks with government.

He gave this invitation during NA session Tuesday.

He assured them of his full cooperation as custodian of house.

Speaker NA gave these remarks when opposition MNA Asad Qaisar talked about privilege of opposition members in the house.

Speaker said parliamentary traditions, constitution, law and rules and regulations of NA are before all of us . Upholding them is guarantee for stability of democratic system.

Citing to arrest of Indian opposition leader Rahol Gandhi in India, speaker NA said that production orders have not been issued therein even after arrest.

Solution to problems lies only in dialogue in parliamentary politics, he said adding " I am ready to serve as bridge between government and opposition for this purpose.

He held nothing can be above grand jirga, NA and Senate. Therefore, all political forces should play their role to strengthen parliament.

He stressed difference of opinion is beauty of democracy but turning it into constructive dialogue is in the national interest.
