Lahore: The 21st meeting of SCCLO was held at the Home Department under the chairmanship of Provincial Health Minister and Chairman Cabinet Committee on Law and Order Khawaja

Salman Rafique. Provincial Minister for Finance Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman and Provincial

Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain attended the meeting.

Secretary Punjab Home Department Noor-ul-Amin Mengal gave a briefing on the latest law and

order situation across the province. The Cabinet Committee reviewed the security arrangements

for the tri-nation cricket series and the Champions Trophy. The Cabinet Committee directed to

ensure foolproof arrangements as per the joint security audit report of Gaddafi Stadium. The

Cabinet Committee approved the deployment of Army and Rangers for both cricket series. Safe

City has been directed to make all cameras operational around the stadium before the cricket

matches.

Provincial Health Minister and Chairman Cabinet Committee on Law and Order Khawaja

Salman Rafique said on the occasion that the protection of people's lives and property is the top

priority of the state. Law enforcement agencies are doing jihad against miscreants. Foolproof

security will be ensured for the tri-nation cricket series and the Champions Trophy in Pakistan.

Adulteration and theft of LPG is a serious crime that is leading to the loss of precious lives.

Cases will be registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act against the elements involved in LPG

tanker accidents. The district administration will take strict action against the theft and

adulteration mafia in LPG containers and bowsers. Secretary Home Punjab Noorul Amin

Mengal, Special Secretary Home Fazlur Rehman, officers from CTD, Special Branch and PCB

participated in the meeting. Commissioners, RPOs, Deputy Commissioners and DPOs from

across the province attended the meeting through video link.
