Karachi: Federal Anti Corruption Court has acquitted chairman Senate and former Prime Minister (PM) Yusuf Raza Gillani in TADAP mega corruption scandal.

TADAP Mega corruption cases came up for hearing in federal anti corruption court.

The court while announcing the decision acquitted Yusuf Raza Gillani in 14 cases.

The court remarked the amount has not come in the accounts of the accused as per evidence. The approver in the case was made accused. Record of some cases is there in the court.

It is pertinent to mention here FIA had registered 26 cases related to TADAP mega corruption. Yusuf Raza Gillani has already been acquitted in 12 cases. Today the court acquitted him from more 14 cases.

Investigation into TADAP corruption cases was started in 2009. FIA started registering cases from 2003 and Yusuf Raza Gillani was nominated as accused in final challan of the cases in 2015.

While talking to media men Counsel Farooq H Naik along with Yusuf Raza Gillani said 26 cases were registered in 2013 and 2014. In all the cases there was only one charge. He was charged with obtaining Rs 50 lac in connection with subsidy in TADAP. FIA registered case on the behest of one person. Yusuf Raza Gillani was on bail in 10 cases and FIA declared him absconder.

He said court has acquitted Yusuf Raza Gillani in all cases. False cases were registered against Yousuf Raza Gillani. The court did justice and we are grateful to the judge.

He demanded of the government to abolish special courts.

Yusuf Raza Gillani said false cases were registered against him. The court has acquitted him in all cases.

" I am ally of those who instituted cases. I cannot leave them. There should be legislation. if decision is not taken then case should be abolished.
