Islamabad: National and internal security situation was reviewed in details at a high level meeting held here under the Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by military leadership, senior civil authorities and senior officers of intelligence institutions.

The situation stemming from Jaffar Express tragedy was discussed at length in the meeting.

PM was briefed in details about the ongoing operation against terrorists.

Sources said the PM was informed about rescuing women and children from terrorists. PM was also apprised of facilitators of the terrorists and their mastermind. It was told that these terrorists were fully backed by foreign elements.

Approval was accorded to important decisions to ensure national and internal security.

It was agreed that state and government will neither bow down before the terrorists at every cost nor any talks will be held with them and instead terrorists involved in terrorism, their facilitators and mastermind will be dealt with sternly.
