Peshawar: The 76th meeting of the Police Policy Board was held on Thursday at the Central Police Office Peshawar. Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed presided over the meeting.
Additional IGPs Operations, Headquarters, Investigation, Training, Special Branch, CCPO Peshawar, Commandant FRP, DIGs Inquiry, Headquarters, Finance, IT, Investigation, AIG Establishment, AIG Legal and SP Headquarters attended the meeting.
The meeting thoroughly discussed the agenda of recruitment of children of police martyrs, promotion of police personnel to various ranks and establishment of new traffic police stations. The participants of the Police Policy Board had a discussion on all the points included in the agenda and presented several suggestions in the light of their professional expertise. It is worth mentioning that the Police Policy Board has been formed as a police 'think tank' to consider and decide on future policy decisions, including improving the performance of the force and further improving the condition of the force personnel. The IGP directed the participants of the Police Policy Board to utilize their experience and high capabilities for the betterment of the force and formulate far-reaching policies to further enhance the capabilities of the force, ensure the welfare of the youth, provide them with equal opportunities for Promotion, fulfill the agenda of serving the public and effectively deal with the challenges of th e modern era.
