Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court granted protective bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Chaudhry Bilal Ejaz and in-charge of Bani Gala, Rizwan.
A two-member bench comprising Justice S M Ateeq Shah and Justice Muhammad Faisal Wali heard the protective bail applications.
The counsel for the applicants informed the court that the applicants were taking precautions due to potential threats.
Justice S M Ateeq Shah remarked, “Those who face threats rarely leave the Chief Minister’s house.”
The counsel further informed the court that Rizwan was responsible for the maintenance of Bani Gala.
The court inquired whether FIRs had also been registered against Rizwan, the maintenance in-charge of Bani Gala?
The counsel replied, “Yes, FIRs have also been registered against him.”
The court directed that Chaudhry Bilal Ejaz and Rizwan should not be arrested in the registered cases and granted them protective bail till January 28.
The court also directed the applicants to obtain details of the cases from th
e relevant High Court.
