Islamabad: Foreign Office (FO) has said terrorism has surged ever since Afghan Taliban have come to power. .

“No talks will be held with any terrorist group. King of Jordan King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein is undertaking a two-day state visit to Pakistan from Saturday on the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, this was said by FO Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi during his weekly press briefing here Friday.

This visit of King of Jordan King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein will serve as important milestone for strengthening the old standing and deep brotherly ties.

King of Jordan King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein will hold separate meetings with the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari. The two sides will exchange views on bilateral relations, regional situation and all the aspects of mutual cooperation.

This visit will pave way for comprehensive and broad partnership in political, economic and cultural fields.

A special ceremony will be held in Aiwan-e-Sadr and King of Jordan King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein will be conferred Pakistan’s highest civilian award, the Nishan-e-Pakistan, in a special investiture ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

This award is recognition of services of King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein for peace and stability in the region.

Talking about Afghanistan situation he said it is hoped Taliban will take action against TTP in Afghanistan.

Pakistan has exercised restraint and there should be no soft corner for those backing terrorists.

Talks were held with Afghan Taliban. We appreciate the efforts by friendly countries in this regard. But we make it clear there will be no talks with any group of terrorists.

Terrorists operating inside Pakistan comprise Afghan groups. We hope Afghan Taliban will take action against TTP terrorists in their region.

Armed forces of Pakistan are fully capable to eliminate terrorists.
