Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) heard appeal pleas of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in Toshakhana-2 case with office objections and directed to file petitions seeking removal of office objections on not filing the appeal pleas timely.
Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro took up for hearing miscellaneous petition filed by PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in Toshakhana-2 case.
Barrister Suleman Safdar appeared in the court on behalf of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi.
Counsel Suleman Safdar while giving arguments said " I regret I had to come to you again. Certain objections were raised by office . I filed appeal timely. The decision of conviction was announced on December 20. Appeals were filed on December 29. The attested copies were attached with the appeal pleas with regard to decision while filing appeal pleas.
Barrister Suleman Safdar said office had told nothing to us with reference to objections. When we fled plea in connection with suspension of conviction then we were told on February 14 that there is objection on our appeal pleas. It is set principle when a petition is filed once then we will say it has been filed in time. Supreme Court decision is there in this regard. According to it the mistake has not been committed from our side.
Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro remarked it is there after 21 and 22 years of advocacy that when lawyer leaves his file then it happens so.
The court directed to read out office objections aloud.
Suleman Safdar said office raised objection that the objections were not removed within prescribed time. When the office raised this objection we were not told in this regard.
The court directed uleman Safdar to read miscellaneous petition.
Suleman Safdar said I have come to you with the application for suspension of the conviction.

Talking to media men barrister Suleman Safdar said there are important appeals of PTI founder in Al-Qadir and Toshakhana-2 case. We hope bail will be granted to PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in Al-Qadir case. The hearing of Al-Qadir case is fixed on Wednesday.
He said the petition seeking suspension of conviction were fixed for hearing after five to six months. Office number has not been allotted so far to the appeal plea regarding Toshakhana-2 case. The hearing will move forward following the allotment of number. The number is likely to be allotted to appeal plea of PTI founder next week.
He said PTI founder is in jail in two cases at present. His arrest is not wanted in any other case except Al-Qadir and Toshakhana-2 case. If hearing is held before Eid then there is possibility of his release. Both the cases are interconnected and they cannot be separated.
