Rawalpindi: Under the banner of the Awami Rabta Mohim for the release of Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik, the traders’ community of Rawalpindi demanded the immediate release of Yasin Malik and all innocent Kashmiri detainees, while reaffirming steadfast support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
A peaceful protest gathering was held at Commercial Market, Rawalpindi, organized by the Rawalpindi Restaurants, Caterers, Sweets and Bakers Association, where a large number of traders, representatives of various organizations, and citizens participated to express solidarity with Kashmir. Ms. Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson Peace and Culture Organisation and former SAPM on Human Rights and Women Empowerment, attended the gathering along with her sister Ms. Sabien Hussein Mullick, Secretary General, Peace and Culture Organisation, and daughter Raziyah Sultan, and received a warm welcome from the traders’ community.
Muhammad Farooq Chaudhry (President, Rawalpindi Restaurants, C
aterers, Sweets and Bakers Association) reiterated that the business community stands firmly with the Kashmir cause and demanded the immediate release of Yasin Malik and all Kashmiri detainees.
Mumtaz Ahmed (Chairman, Rawalpindi Restaurants, Caterers, Sweets and Bakers Association) paid tribute to the resilience of Kashmiri families and affirmed continued support until justice and freedom are achieved.
Malik Suhail Awan (President, Commercial Market, Rawalpindi) declared that Rawalpindi’s traders will keep raising their voice against oppression in occupied Kashmir and stand with Awami Rabta Mohim.
Uthman Shaukat (President, Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry) urged international institutions and human rights organizations to play an effective role for the release of Yasin Malik and all Kashmiri prisoners and for a just, peaceful settlement of Kashmir.

ople support through Awami Rabta Mohim is strengthening the voice of Kashmiri prisoners and their families.
In her address, Ms. Mushaal Hussein Mullick thanked the traders for their unwavering solidarity and emphasized the need for national unity and a clear, strong state policy on Kashmir. She urged coordinated international efforts to expose ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to amplify the Kashmiri people’s voice on global forums. She reiterated the demand for the immediate release of Yasin Malik and all Kashmiri prisoners, stressing that peace in the region remains impossible without justice.
Participants raised slogans in support of Kashmir and demanded that the Kashmir issue be highlighted forcefully in parliament and at international forums, calling for the immediate release of Yasin Malik and all innocent Kashmiri detainees. The gathering reaffirmed that the struggle will continue until freedom and justice are achieved.
