Gujranwala: At least 8 people have been killed and 15 have been injured in two traffic accidents in Gujranwala and Toba Tek Singh.

As per media reports, 5 people were killed while 4 were injured when an over-speeding truck collided with a carry daba near in the area of Qilla Dewan Singh near Nokhar on Hafiz Abad road.

According to RESCUE sources those killed in the accident are Nasreen 55, Rukhsana, 45, Azan 13, Amjid Pervez 60 and Jibran 25.

The injured persons include Anjum, Amna, Majidan Bibi and Shabnam.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to hospitals.

Police have started investigation after collecting evidence from the scene.

In the second traffic incident, a dalla vehicle collided with Mazda laden with vegetable and overturned near Rajjani interchange on M-3 Motorway. .

3 members of a family died and 11 were injured in the accident.

The RESCUE 1122 rushed to the scene and shifted the injured persons to DHQ hospital Toba Tek Singh. A child is included among the victims of accident. Women and children are also among those who have been injured.

Motorway police and Rescue teams have cleared the scene. The over-speeding is stated to be the cause of the accident.

Shamim, Samina and one year old child have been killed in the accident.
