Washington: US President Donald Trump ruled out any deal with Iran, demanding its 'unconditional surrender' in a social media statement as the US-Israeli offensive against Iran entered its first week.

Trump stated that after Iran's surrender, a 'great and acceptable' leader would be selected, and the US along with its allies would work to rebuild the country, making it 'economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before.'

The US and Israel initiated attacks last Saturday with the goal of toppling Iran's government. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several senior officials were reportedly killed in the opening strikes. Tehran has retaliated with multiple missile and drone waves targeting Israeli and US installations in the region, while Arab Gulf nations have also been affected.

Both sides have expressed determination to continue the conflict, with Trump asserting the US has resources to wage war indefinitely, while Tehran warned that decades of preparation make it ready for any invasion.
