Two Pakistan Navy Officers Promoted to the Rank of Rear Admiral

Islamabad: Two Commodores of Pakistan Navy have been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral. Rear Admiral Javed Zia was commissioned in the Weapon Engineering Branch of Pakistan Navy in 1994. He is a graduate of Pakistan Navy War College, Lahore, and National Defence University, Islamabad, and holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). During his distinguished naval career, he has held various key appointments and is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Materiel) at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad.

Rear Admiral Armaghan Ahmad was commissioned in the Marine Engineering Branch of Pakistan Navy in 1994. He is a graduate of Pakistan Navy War College, Lahore, and National Defence University, Islamabad, and has earned a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing System Engineering and Management from NUST. He has an illustrious service record with extensive experience in important command and staff appointments and is presently serving as Managing Director Dockyard, Karachi.

In recognition of their meritorious services to the nation, both Flag Officers have been awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military).
