Islamabad: on the eve of 78th invasion and annexation year of Jammu and Kashmir by India, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People's Freedom League and ex Convener All Parties Hurriyet Conference AJandK Chapter, has emphasised on the United Nations Organisation to impress on the significance its resolutions adopted decades ago to hold plebiscite across the erstwhile princely State of Jammu and Kashmir to ascertain the wishes of its people regarding their future with either of the two dominions of Pakistan and India.
He said that failure to organise and hold a free, fair and impartial plebiscite in the State, is a big question mark on their promises with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The world Body had unanimously adopted the resolutions and both India and Pakistan had ensured their implementation. He pointed out that if on side Pakistan was always ready to comply with the Security Council resolutions, India was commanding a massive concentration of troops in her illegally occupied part of the State. Not only that but India had been committing flagrantly gross human rights atrocities and making extensively demographic changes by having issued domicile certificates to thousands of non locals and hundreds have been permitted to buy land and property across the Occupied region since the abrogation of its special status and merger with India as union territory.
He said that India's popularity could be assessed and evaluated by her draconian laws like PSA and UAPA under which thousands of innocent youth were languishing in jails, while hundreds of its political leaders had been facing prosecution under unhygienic conditions of prisons without any legal and humanitarian support. He said, ¡¡ hundreds have fled to foreign countries due to threat to their lives and many employees have been dismissed of their jobs while a campaign of attaching their properties on filimsy grounds is being carried out by the establishments of Delhi and Srinagar). He challenged that India was ruling over the State with an iron fist treating the inhabitants ruthlessly as foreign agents and putting a red stamp on their basic freedoms and civil liberties
An iron wall of black laws and a wast spying net work had cut the inhabitants of the IIOJandK aloof from their relatives and friends around and the establishment had been monitoring the people's daily activities and harassment by the agents by different means and methods had become a permanent feature of the Modi establishment in the State.
He said the top human rights, women rights, social and religious as well as political rightd were in hazardous unhygienic conditions since decades in jails and the Indian regime was bent upon nothing except reprisal and revenge against existence in their homeland. The occupied State was not only being ruled by a bigoted Modi establishment but the rule had totally been infested by misgovernance and corruption in every department civil and police.
He recalled that the Delhi regime had conducted frequently so called elections in the IIOJandK during the last 70 years, but the real and the absolute power was always in the hands of Delhi and the present time's elected government was the poorest one in terms of governance or in the matter of protecting rights and liberties of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Today's CM was a figure head and tragically he had no intention nor self esteem to protect or raise voice for the rights and iberties of the Kashmiris against the foreign ruling clique of India in Srinagar and Jammu and Ladakh. UN must note how and in what conditions the people of Jammu and Kashmir mark and observe the 78th year of Indian invasion and occupation of their homeland Jammu and Kashmir
