Lahore: Alkhidmat Foundation Orphan Family Support Program organized a nationwide reading competition to promote the habit of reading among children and spread the message of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH).A total of 16,000 children from across Pakistan participated in the competition. Of these, 616 students qualified for the provincial-level competition, and 70 talented students qualified for the final. The top 10 students were awarded prizes, cash rewards, school bags, and books as gifts for their outstanding achievements. The event was hosted by Muhammad Rizwan.The ceremony was attended by the Vice Presidents of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Muhammad Abdul Shakoor and Syed Ihsanullah Waqas, National Director Alkhidmat Orphan Family Support Program, Brigadier (Retd) Abdul Jabbar Butt, along with other social personalities and individuals from various walks of life, who encouraged the children.While speaking on the occasion, Brigadier (Retd) Abdul Jabbar Butt emphasized that promoting the message of Seerat-un- Nabi (PBUH) among children is essential for the preservation of our social and religious values. This competition will not only instill a passion for learning in children but will also play a significant role in shaping their character, he said.'These competitions provide children with an opportunity to improve their abilities and foster a love for Islam and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH),' he remarked.Under the Alkhidmat Foundation Orphan Family Support Program, more than 30,000 orphaned and courageous children are being supported while they are provided with education, health, food, and other facilities, he concluded.
