Unhindered Freedom to Hold Majalis and Processions Should Be Ensured, Allama Sajid Naqvi

Islamabad: Quaid-e-Millat Jafriyah Pakistan Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi states that the authorities should take steps to ensure the holding of Majalis, gatherings and processions of mourning during Muharram al-Haram with unrestricted freedom. Muharram and Safar should be declared load-shedding-free days so that not only can the devotees pay homage to the martyrs of Karbala in a full-fledged manner, but this process can also prove to be helpful in thwarting terrorism.Qa'id-e-Millat Jafariya Pakistan, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, communicated to the President of the country, Asif Ali Zardari, and the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, through separate letters, drawing their attention to important matters related to the sacred month of Muharram-ul-Haram and Safar-ul-Muzaffar 1446 AH.He further said that like in the entire Islamic world, in Pakistan too, all Muslims, including people of other religions, without any distinction of sect or creed, offer their bouquets of devotion to the Imam of Humanity, the grandson of the Prophet, and his companions in their own way and remember them. In this regard, Majalis, gatherings and processions of mourning are held across the country in different ways.He emphasized that the holding of Majalis, gatherings and processions of mourning should be ensured. Special programs on electronic media and special columns, articles, and special editions should be maintained regarding the elevated position of the Imam, the martyrs of Karbala, and the philosophy of Karbala from the 1st to the 10th of Muharram-ul-Haram, and limitations should be avoided.The electricity transmission system should be made reliable and effective during these days so that while on the one hand the devotees can pay full tribute to the martyrs of Karbala, this process can also prove to be helpful in thwarting the nefarious designs of terrorists.
