Islamabad: President of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMandDC), Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj, chaired a meeting with the Registrar PMandDC, the Head of the Examination Department, and Vice Chancellors of the universities conducting the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025. The universities were advised to review and ensure all necessary arrangements for the smooth, fair, and transparent conduct of the examination.
Universities were instructed to equip examination venues with proper seating and facilities, strengthen security through installation of jammers to block unauthorized electronic devices, and make arrangements for heating or cooling of halls as per weather conditions. Adequate drinking water and waiting areas for parents and guardians must also be provided.
Candidates will be provided bubble sheets with carbon copies, and universities must maintain complete secrecy and confidentiality of all question papers. Question papers shall be opened only in the presence of witnesses. After the examination, all bubble sheets must be promptly collected and stored securely. Original examination papers will be retained by the respective universities for 12 months from the date of result declaration.
Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj emphasized that MDCAT-2025 results should be compiled and announced within one week of the examination. A comprehensive post-hoc analysis report must be submitted within ten days of the final results announcement. The official answer key shall be uploaded on the university's website immediately after the examination, and facilities for re-checking marks will be available within three days following the results declaration.
The PMandDC clarified that the admission process will be handled entirely by provincial authorities and admitting universities, with a deadline of 28th February 2026. The Council will have no role in admissions.
All universities were advised to strictly adhere to these guidelines and ensure that the MDCAT-2025 is conducted with utmost fairness, confidentiality, and efficiency.
