Lahore: A delegation of members of the United States Congress visited the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) to review its operational capabilities, public safety initiatives and artificial intelligence-based surveillance systems.

The delegation, comprising US Congressmen Ryan Zinke and Michael Baumgartner, was received by Punjab Safe Cities Authority Managing Director Muhammad Ahsan Younas.

Managing Director Muhammad Ahsan Younas and Chief Operating Officer Mustansar Feroz briefed the visiting delegation on the authority's responsibilities, operational capabilities and key achievements.

The delegation was informed about the PSCA's artificial intelligence-driven technologies and recent upgrades aimed at enhancing public safety and law enforcement efficiency.

Officials said the Punjab Safe Cities Authority is monitoring key locations across the province through thousands of modern surveillance cameras and works in close coordination with police and other law enforcement agencies.

The visitors were also briefed on the authority's system that enables citizens to directly report crimes and suspicious activities.

According to officials, the visit reflects the continuing engagement between Pakistan and the United States in areas of mutual interest, including public safety and technological cooperation.
