Vice Chief of the Turkish General Staff, calls on Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Defence

Islamabad: General Levent Ergn, Vice Chief of the Turkish General Staff, called on Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Defence, in Islamabad.

During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, with particular focus on further strengthening defence and military cooperation between Pakistan and Trkiye.

The Defence Minister warmly welcomed the visiting dignitary and reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to deepening the longstanding brotherly relations with Trkiye. He highlighted the importance Pakistan attaches to its strategic partnership with Trkiye and appreciated the growing collaboration in defence, training, and defence industry cooperation. Both dignitaries reaffirmed that Pakistan and Trkiye share a similar outlook on regional and global affairs and remain closely aligned in their diplomatic perspectives.

General Levent Ergn expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to the Turkish delegation and underscored Trkiye's desire to further enhance bilateral defence ties and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Both sides expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Trkiye relations and reiterated their resolve to continue close coordination and high-level engagements in the future.
