Violence against govt employees: Court hands over Farhan Ghani to police custody on

physical remand Karachi: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has handed over Farhan Ghani, chairman Chanseor town to police custody on physical remand till August 28.Farhan Ghani is nominated in violence against government employee case.Farhan Ghani and other accused who are nominated in violence against government employee and interference in government affairs case were presented before judge of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC).The court inquired from investigation officer what are the names of the accused persons and what are the allegations against them.Police investigation officer told the court the accused have beaten plaintiff of the case and others . The plaintiff of the case were working under supervision of police.The court inquired the plaintiff who were beaten belonged to what department.Prosecutor could not give reply to court with reference to department.Prosecutor said 14 days remand be given to us so that the investigation could be conducted.The court inquired from the accused where is their counsel.Farha n Ghanni and other accused replied we have no counsel.The court inquired why ATA section was imposed in this case.Upon it investigation officer told the court that plaintiff , government employees and others were subjected to violence. Therefore, ATA has been imposed.Judge ATC inquired the employees were doing what work.Prosecutor told they were working in connection with fiber cable.The accused Farhan Ghani told the court he has not subjected any one to violence. The allegation leveled against him is false. I was passing from there I stopped and asked what were they doing and under whose permission they were doing the work.Farhan Ghani said " I am town chairman. It is my powers to ask and stop illegal work. I sought road digging permission but they did not give.The judge inquired you have arrested the accused or they have come on foot.The investigation officer said the accused themselves had come to police station.The court while ordering to hand over the accused to police custody on physic al remand sought progress report on next hearing.
