Islamabad: Police registered a case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi and former President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi, among others, for violent protests by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on November 24.The first case of the protest was registered under anti-terrorism provisions at Taxila police station. More than 300 local leaders and workers, including Opposition Leader Omar Ayub, Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur, Aleema Khan, Azam Swati, Taimur Masood, Shehryar Riaz, have been named in the case.According to the text of the case, the protesters damaged a government motorcycle and vehicle, while the accused kidnapped a police driver and tortured him before releasing him.The PTI founder planned to march party leaders from Adiala Jail to Islamabad. Case No. 2594 includes charges including interference in the government, violation of Section 144, while the protesters are also accused of damaging government and private property and blocking highways by gathering crowds.It sho uld be noted that on Imran Khan's call, PTI convoys were sent to Islamabad on November 24 to protest. They left Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the leadership of Chief Minister Amin Ali Amin Gandapur.While entering Punjab from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, there was a clash between the protesters and the police. PTI workers pelted stones at the police, which was shelled by the police.
