Islamabad: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa has said that they are initiating several mega projects to transform Islamabad into a model city.

A meeting was held at the CDA Headquarters on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting was attended by CDA Board Members, including Member Administration Talat Mahmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch and other senior officers. The overall performance of the CDA and the progress made on development projects so far were reviewed during the meeting.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that they are initiating several mega projects to transform Islamabad into a model City. He mentioned that work is progressing rapidly on the T-Chowk Flyover Project and Shaheen Chowk Underpass projects to modernize Islamabad's road infrastructure and provide signal free travel facilities to the residents of Islamabad. Besides, he said that work on sector development has also been accelerated to meet the residential needs of Islamabad's citizens.

Chairman CDA affirmed that all necessary resources will be utilized to develop Islamabad's infrastructure according to modern standards. Chairman CDA emphasized that no compromise will be made on transparency, quality and high standards in development projects.

Chairman CDA directed that all ongoing development projects must be completed within their stipulated timelines. He said that the monitoring system for all CDA development projects should be made more effective. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa further added that the progress of development work will be reviewed regularly to ensure the timely completion of projects by resolving any related issues promptly.
