We are passing through critical situation: PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said we are passing through critical situation adding security situation in KP and Balochistan is before all of us.

He said this while speaking to the participants of an in-camera meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security here at Parliament House.

He vowed to uproot scourge of terrorism from Pakistan saying "peace, order and security will be ensured in the country."

Convening this meeting is aimed at giving message to nation we are united against terrorism.

It had been good if our opposition colleagues would have attended the meeting.

Chief of Army Staff Gen Asim Munir and Inter-Services Intelligence Director General Asim Malik have also attended the meeting.

The prime minister said that there's no place of terrorism on the soil of Pakistan.. We will ensure peace, order and security in the country.'

Prime Minister Shehbaz said 'we have to sit and find a lasting and sustainable solution to this scourge.'

He said the entire nation is united in the war against terrorism and will defeat terrorism at all costs.

He paid tribute on behalf of the nation to those who sacrificed their lives for the country.

He said terrorism has become scourge for the country. We cannot forget the sacrifices of martyrs and security forces. We will chase the terrorists to last extent.

We will cleanse the country from terrorism. Our valiant jawans are sacrificing their lives for security of country, he added.
