Lahore: Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, has said that JI rejects the government’s decision to joining Donald Trump’s Board of Peace. He stated that Trump’s Board of Peace is a new form of the colonial system, which includes criminals such as Tony Blair, who was responsible for the destruction of Iraq.

Expressing his views on the social media platform X, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the Board of Peace is a new mechanism for seizing Palestinian land and resources. He termed any American control over Gaza in the name of reconstruction as unacceptable. He added that the stance of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs-that Pakistan announced its support for the Gaza peace plan under a United Nations Security Council resolution is contrary to facts.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman further said that Trump himself has stated that his Board of Peace could one day replace the United Nations. In light of this position by Trump, he questioned the justification for Pakistan’s participation in the board. He reiterated emphatically that Pakistan’s armed forces should, under no circumstances, be sent to Gaza.
