Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif while terming Saudi Arabia the best brotherly country and trusted friend of Pakistan has said we will not allow any harm to be caused to integrity and solidarity of Saudi Arabia.
There should be revival and reconstruction of Gaza. Our tireless efforts have met success for macro economic stability. The fear of non accepting the reduction in electricity tariff by IMF has ended. Bilateral ties, investment and other regional and international issues came under discussion in the meeting. Army chief Gen Asim Munir was also present in the meetings.
In Dubai summit remained very important. Bilateral meetings were also held with Sri Lanka, Bosnia and others.
Sri Lankan president showed enthusiasm for promotion of ties with Pakistan. Invitation was extended to him to visit Pakistan which was accepted by him.
He had very fruitful meetings with the world leaders including UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of Sri Lanka Anura Kumara Dissanayake, and Managing Director International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2025.
Making Pakistan stance clear with reference to Gaza he termed ceasefire good omen saying we are desirous of immediate revival and reconstruction of Gaza. Peace will come in the region due to it only. There is need for working together by all of us in this regard. We have raised powerful voice in support of Palestine in Dubai summit. Fifty thousand Palestinians have embraced martyrdom in Gaza war which is worst example of genocide.
In the backdrop of recent US statement about Gaza he said we fully support the sovereignty and geographical integrity of Saudi Arabia.
He said Saudi Arabia is a brotherly country and trusted friend. We will not allow any harm to be caused to integrity of Saudi Arabia.
