Dhaka: Ameer Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, in his message to the nation and party workers, stated that he would not bow before evil forces and mischievous elements and would remain steadfast on the path of truth and righteousness.

He expressed deep concern over reports received from various parts of the country following the election environment, which included incidents of unrest, attacks, vandalism, arson, and targeting of workers for voting for the electoral symbol of the 11-party alliance by certain elements of a specific party. He said that in some places, unfortunate incidents such as the harassment and humiliation of respectable women have also been reported, which are highly condemnable.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman stated that Jamaat-e-Islami and its associates will remain committed to truth and justice. Wherever such attacks occur, they will stand shoulder to shoulder with the oppressed, alongside the public, and will stage strong protests and resistance. He directed the workers to stand firmly with the common people, as this is a requirement of humanity, love for Allah Almighty, and loyalty to the homeland.

He reaffirmed his resolve that there is no room for weakness in this struggle and prayed that Allah Almighty be the supporter and helper of all.
