Islamabad: Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that Pakistan and its 250 million people will stand shoulder to shoulder with the Kashmiri people until the dawn of freedom.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman expressed these views while addressing participants of annual meeting of members of JI AJK and GB General Council. Other speakers at the session included Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami AJK, Ghulam Muhammad Safi Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Mian Maqsood Ahmed, and Raja Jahangir Khan, among others.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman stated that the Kashmir freedom movement is actually a continuation of the Pakistan Movement. India carried out an illegal military occupation of occupied Kashmir on October 27, 1947. Neither the Kashmiris nor the world accepted this military occupation. In accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, the Kashmiri people must be given their right to self-determination, a promise that the world has made to them, he stressed.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the countries, including United States government, that supported Israel in the genocide of Palestinians are equally guilty of this crime. He added that Hamas made its decision according to its circumstances, and it has been accepted by all. Israel violated the peace agreement 35 times. Donald Trump admitted that under U.S. patronage, Israel waged aggression for two years and destroyed Gaza but could not free even a single hostage - which he called Israel's failure.
He said the people of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan should trust Jamaat-e-Islami, as only this party can resolve their problems. Jamaat-e-Islami is actively and fully present in the struggle for Kashmir's freedom and for solving public issues. He said the outdated system and corrupt leadership are responsible for the country's problems. More than 75 years have passed since the creation of Pakistan, yet the colonial system imposed by the British still persists - a system designed for the luxuries of rulers, he said. Jamaat-e-Islami is striving to replace this outdated system with the system of justice given by Allah, he added. When Allah's system is established and prevails, people's problems will be resolved, their voices will be heard, Pakistan's dignity will rise, and the country will be able to support oppressed people worldwide, he maintained.
He added that the corrupt elite have disheartened the courageous youth of Pakistan for their own interests, but Jamaat-e-Islami is reviving their hope and skills.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman emphasized, 'This country does not belong to Zardari, Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan, or Asim Munir - it belongs to all of us. Pakistan is the center of hope for the Kashmiris.' He said those trying to disillusion the youth from Pakistan will be countered through programs like Bano Qabil and other initiatives. He reiterated that Jamaat-e-Islami is a democratic party struggling to bring real change by organizing public opinion. Its members should be among the people, represent their issues, and work to solve their problems, he remarked.
He concluded by saying that the public has lost faith in the leadership imposed on them for the past 78 years. If Jamaat-e-Islami reaches out to the people, they will surely choose it as their political alternative, Emir JI added.
