Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated the resolve to work with newly elected government of Gilgit-Baltistan government for the welfare and uplift of people.
Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Chief Minister (CM) Amjad Hussain called on PM him in Islamabad Tuesday and the two exchanged views on matters related to .GB.
PM congratulated Amjid Hussain on assuming the office of PM GB. PM said federal government is determined to work with newly elected government for the welfare of people of GB.
Federal government is taking steps with reference to development projects in renewable energy, tourism, infrastructure, health, education, and other sectors for the wellbeing of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Federal government's projects including 100-megawatt solar power project and the establishment of Daanish Schools in Gilgit-Baltistan are at top of the list.
Planning for setting up Pakistan Asaan Khidmat Centre in Gilgit to facilitate the people of GB is underway. Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and foreign minister Ishaq Dar , minister for planning Ahsan Iqbal and minister for economic affairs Ahad Khan Cheema were also present in the meeting.
