Islamabad: The World Athletics Coaches Education and Certification System (CECS) Level One Course commenced today under the auspices of the Athletics Federation of Pakistan. The course is being conducted at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad, with the collaboration of World Athletics and Asian Athletics Association.

The ten-day training program aims to enhance the knowledge and coaching skills of participants in track and field disciplines. A total of 24 coaches from across Pakistan are attending the course, which will be supervised by World Athletics certified instructors.

The course will cover modules on athlete development, training principles, event-specific techniques, and sports science. The program is part of World Athletics' global initiative to standardize coaching education and ensure that athletes receive scientifically structured training.

Athletics Federation of Pakistan President Major General (Retd) Muhammad Akram Sahi emphasized the importance of the program, stating that the course will contribute significantly to the professional development of Pakistani coaches and help improve athletics performance nationwide.

He appreciated the continued support of World Athletics and Asian Athletics Association for Pakistan's athletics development, expressing hope that such initiatives will lay a strong foundation for future international success.
