Lahore: Young Doctors Association (YDA) has resorted to Lahore High Court (LHC) against growing attacks of stray dogs and non availability of Rabies vaccine.
YDA has filed constitutional petition through advocate Muhammad Mazhar Siddique whereby non availability of rabies vaccines for citizens and inability of government has been challenged.
The petition said attacks by stray dogs have reached alarming proportion in all over Punjab. The basic rights of citizens, life under article 9 and 14 of the constitution and human dignity are being violated due to non availability of the vaccine.
The petitioner has requested the court to make it binding on government to implement ABC policy-2021 besides ensuring immediate supply of rabies vaccines in all government hospitals.
The court's interference is must for protection of human dignity. Therefore, court is requested to seek reply from the respective departments besides issuing orders for taking concrete measures.
