ýcopenhagen: Pakistan and Denmark held the fifth round of Bilateral Political Consultations in Copenhagen. The Pakistan delegation was led by Additional Secretary (Europe), Ambassador Ayesha Ali, while the Danish side was led by State Secretary for Trade and Investments Ambassador Ms. Susanne Hyldelund.ýýThe two sides undertook a comprehensive review of bilateral relations, including political engagement, trade and investment ties, green transition and energy cooperation, people-to-people contacts, consular matters, and multilateral cooperation.ýýThey expressed satisfaction at the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Particular emphasis was placed on enhancing trade and investment ties, including greater business-to-business engagement and investment by Danish companies especially in renewable energy, IT, infrastructure, logistics, port facilities, mines and minerals, fisheries and sustainable manufactu ring.ýýPakistan appreciated continued Danish cooperation under the Green Framework Engagement Agreement and the Strategic Sector Cooperation including the Faisalabad Wastewater Treatment Plant.ýýThe two sides also discussed measures to facilitate people-to-people contacts, including visa and consular matters, mobility of professionals and businesspersons, and air connectivity via direct flights.ýýOn multilateral cooperation, the two sides reviewed their close coordination while serving concurrently on the Security Council for the 2025-26 term.They also exchanged views on important regional and global developments.ýýThey agreed to maintain the momentum of bilateral engagement and continue close coordination on matters of mutual interest. The next round of Pakistan-Denmark Bilateral Political Consultations will be held in Pakistan on mutually agreed dates.
