Islamabad: Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir was observed Wednesday to express support for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination and to condemn India's illegal and unilateral action of August 5, 2019.
A big rally was taken out in Islamabad from the Foreign Office. People from different walks of life participated in the rally. One minute of silence was observed in the morning.
Special broadcasts were aired to highlight the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, the contributions of the leaders of the Kashmir freedom movement, and the harsh realities of Indian oppression.
Special events were organized in connection with the day.
Rallies were also taken out across all four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
It was on this day in 2019 that India unilaterally and illegally stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its special status, the action which has since then been rejected by the international community, Kashmiris and Pakistanis alike.
Special events were organized in connection with the day.
Rallies were also taken out across all four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
