Islamabad: Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani held meetings with Senator Gurdeep Singh, Senator Asad Qasim, Senator Sardar Muhammad Umer Gorgaij, Senator Falak Naz Chitrali, and former MNA Ms Maiza Hameed at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
During the meetings, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani emphasised the need for unity, dialogue, and collective efforts to address national challenges and ensure political and economic stability. He said that strengthening democratic institutions and promoting inclusive development are key to Pakistan's progress.
Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani expressed concern over the ongoing flood situation in various parts of the country and called for coordinated efforts by federal and provincial authorities to provide timely relief and rehabilitation to the affected people.
Meanwhile, Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani presented a formal invitation to the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic, Dr Ramez Alraee, inviting the Speaker of the Syrian Parliament to participate in the forthcoming Inter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference (ISC) scheduled for November 2025.
