½new york: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Foreign Minister of Algeria Ahmed Attaf on the sidelines of the 81st UNGA in New York.

½The two Ministers held wide-ranging discussions on bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen cooperation in trade and investment, economic cooperation, education, culture and people-to-people contacts. They emphasized the importance of sustained high-level engagement.

½The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments. DPM/FM emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing contemporary challenges.

½Both Ministers expressed satisfaction on the excellent cooperation between the two sides at various multilateral fora, particularly the United Nations, and agreed to further strengthen their coordination.

½Both sides agreed to maintain close contact and sustain momentum in bilateral relations.
