17 Balochistan lawmakers booked for ruckus during budget session

Quetta: Quetta police has booked 17 Baluchistan Assembly members for violence during budget session on Friday.

All the booked members belong to opposition parties.

Sources said that police is unable to name Chief Minister and police officers in FIR over the applications of opposition members.

The FIR against opposition members has been filed at Bijli road police station.

The FIR includes clauses of meddling state matters, violations of corona SOPs and attacking police officials.

The opposition legislators and supporters in Balochistan had clashed with police at the gate of the Provincial Assembly on the day the province’s 2021-2022 budget was to be presented. What is more, in both places, the worst could have been avoided had better sense prevailed in the PTI and BAP leaderships.
