ISLAMABAD: The hearing of Narowal Sports City Reference has been adjourned till September 21.

The case came up for hearing before Accountability Court (AC) Islamabad led by Syed Asghar Ali on Monday.

Former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal, NAB witness and Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) officer Izhar Ahmad appeared in the court.

Witness Izhar Ahmad presented in the court copy of central development working party decision in the court. He also submitted the record related to correspondence with Narowal Sports City in 2008. Letter written by district coordination officer Narowal in 2008 and letter issued by section officer PSB were also presented in the court.

Ahsan Iqbal came up on the rostrum with the permission of court and inquired from NAB prosecutor are these letters real.

NAB prosecutor replied “you please see it all the letters are real. Copy is there only of central working development party decision.

The counsel for Ahsan Iqbal objected no photocopy can be presented on record while reference has been made on photocopies.

The AC judge remarked 55, 56 original documents were presented. You have raised objections over original documents.

Counsel for Ahsan Iqbal said we have got written reasons with the objections.

The hearing of the case was adjourned till September 21.
