All minority officers are valuable assets of Punjab Police: IG Punjab

Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that officers and personnel belonging to Christian Hindu and other minority religions are the beauty and precious assets of Punjab Police and protection of their rights is one of the priorities of Punjab Police.

IG Punjab invited two Hindu constables to the Central Police Office on the occasion of Holi and encouraged them with cash prizes.

Talking to Constable Hans Raj and Constable Nano Ram, IG Punjab said that sharing each other’s happiness promotes the message of inter-faith harmony, peace, love and brotherhood. Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that all the officers and personnel of the police force are like a family and have respect for each other’s religious values and festivals.

He said that all minorities including Hindu community are equal citizens of Pakistan and Punjab Police is ensuring protection of rights of minorities while Minority Protection Cells are also functioning in all the districts of the province.

He expressed these views during a meet up with two Hindu employees of Punjab Police at the Central Police Office here today.
