Govt makes difference of opinion personal enmity: Shahbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Shahbaz Sharif has said the incumbent government has unfortunately made the democratic protest, criticism and difference of opinion as personal enmity.

He said this in a statement issued here Saturday.

Strongly condemning the lathi charge by police and misbehave with opposition members in Balochistan Assembly, he said Saturday the government has made the democratic protest, criticism and different of opinion its personal enmity.

The chaos and the tactics of coercion are undemocratic, unparliamentary and non political, he remarked.

Earlier undemocratic attitude was adopted in NA and now this attitude is being seen in Balochistan assembly, he observed.

Subjecting members of Balochistan assembly to violence and preventing them from participating in assembly session is peak of fascism, he said adding government should hear the opposition members. Lathi charging and restraining them from taking part in assembly proceedings is not solution to the problem.

He stressed that the just demands and deprivations of members of Balochistan assembly be alleviated. Both the sides should exercise restraint and maturity, he added.
