Islamabad: Recent rise in prices of petroleum products has been challenged in the Lahore High Court.

The petition was filed by the Judicial Activism Panel in which it was pleaded that the government was constantly dropping petrol bomb shell on the people, which was tantamount to depriving the people of their right .

Recent upsurge in prices of petroleum products will add to the public woes. Unnecessary price hikes in proportion to the global market will usher in a new storm of inflation.

The petitioner has prayed the court to nullify the recent hike in the prices of petroleum products.
