LAHORE: Deputy Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, President Standing Committee on Electoral Affairs Liaqat Baloch while addressing public gatherings, workers convention and media representatives in Lahore, Hafizabad, Kolotar, Khanpur said that politics is not a deception. Politics is the most important means of public service, the running of the state system.
According to the command of Allah, the Prophets and the last of the Prophets (may peace and blessings be upon him) gave an ideal system of government to human societies on the basis of pure public welfare politics. Purposeful constructive politics can bring unity, solidarity and prosperity in societies. Corrupt, unjust politics is the devil’s business.
Liaqat Baloch said that Jamaat-e-Islami wants an end to the system of oppression imposed on the oppressed people beyond the interests, prejudices and factionalism and the rule of Islam with the constitution, law, justice and fairness. Liaqat Baloch said that the country was suffering from the worst economic crisis. After the approval of the national budget, inflation bombs are constantly being dropped on the people. The economy of interest, debt, corruption and mismanagement is a major threat to national security, freedom and sovereignty.
Liaqat Baloch said that the economic constraints are taking their toll on the people and the government and parliament are reluctant to come up with a unified national strategy on Kashmir, Afghanistan and Palestine. Prime Minister Imran Khan has adopted a policy of facilitating the permanent occupation of Indian-occupied Kashmir instead of becoming Kashmir’s ambassador and Tipu Sultan for Kashmir’s independence. The solution to the Kashmir issue is not a referendum in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan but to give Kashmiris the right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions. Kashmiris have made eternal sacrifices for freedom and the right to self-determination.
Liaqat Baloch said that Imran Khan is eager to fulfill the agenda of General Pervez Musharraf, Asif Ali Zardari and Mian Nawaz Sharif. The Kashmiri people and the Pakistani people behind the Kashmir Independence Movement will thwart the government’s conspiracies. The solution imposed unilaterally on Kashmiris will be a victory for India. A delegation of the Christian community called on Liaqat Baloch. All minorities of Pakistan are patriots and a proud part of Pakistan.
Liaqat Baloch said that governments, like the majority population, are usurping the constitutional, political, municipal and economic rights of minorities. To end the government’s deviation from constitution and the anti-people system, Jamaat-e-Islami will organize minorities across the country. The Christian delegation congratulated on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
