Murree tragedy is a heart wrenching: Maryam Nawaz

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said the government is not only responsible for counting the number of tourists, but it also has to make necessary arrangements for them as well.

“The person who mocked Shahbaz Sharif’s boots and service is sitting in his palace trying to save his failing government […] the government negligence is behind the deaths, not snowfall”, Maryam Nawaz said in a statement issued on twitter on Saturday.

The PML-N vice-president also prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased.

Maryam said that Murree tragedy is a heart wrenching. She added that government’s job is not only to count the number of tourists but also make arrangement for them. These people did not die of snow but from incompetence of the government, Maryam added.

Maryam Nawaz said I have never seen such chaos, apathy and incompetence and most importantly a government that has nothing to do with the misery of people. What’s most shocking though is not only the dismissive attitude but the contempt and scorn they pour on the victims.
