‘No rift between institutions’ Qureshi says

Islamabad: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Sunday said that government was enjoying cordial relations with state institutions and “there was no threat to the incumbent PTI government from the lame opposition”

Addressing a gathering in Multan, Foreign Minister asked the opposition parties to be patient as their desire to dislodge the government cannot be fulfilled.

Commenting on economy, he said the inflation is a big challenge for the government. However, the government is trying its best to minimize the burden on masses.

The Foreign Minister said that Coronavirus affected the international economy as a whole and that is why the rise in oil prices in the world market forced the government to increase the prices of petroleum products within the country.

About Afghanistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan wants peace and stability in the neighbouring country as it is imperative for regional peace.

He reiterated that Pakistan would continue its reconciliatory efforts for establishment of peace in the region.
